Membership Elects 2009 Board of Directors at AGM
The 2008 Annual General Meeting of the Nashville Kangaroos was held Saturday November 1, 2008 in conjunction with the Year End Celebration and Silent Auction. President Jeff Persson opened the meeting with a welcome to the assembled membership, then went straight into the meeting agenda. The reports from the three major areas of the club, the President's Administrative Report, the Netball Report, and the Football Report, were presented and are posted online.
Following these reports, Jeff the seven nominations as verified by Secretary Grant White for the 2009 Board of Directors were announced. As the number of nominations were within the range for an acceptable size of the board, Jeff asked the membership if there were any objections to an open vocal vote for the entire slate of nominees. As there were no objections, the vote was carried out and the membership unanimously approved the slate as presented. As there was no more business to conduct, Jeff closed the meeting.
Congratulations to our 2009 Board of Directors; we look forward to you leading the Kangaroos into 2009. The initial meeting of the new board is scheduled for Monday November 24 when the board will elect the officers (President, the Secretary, and Treasurer).
