Adam Carter has been around the Nashville Kangaroos in multiple capacities since the birth of the Roos. Adam was a fierce competitor on the field, a menace to opposing backmen as he roamed the forward lines, taking strong marks and kicking tons of goals. It was a sad day indeed when he retired after 75 games. He was the leading goal kicker the first two years of the club. He still holds the Kangaroos and USAFL records for most goals in a season (66, set in 1999), his single game record of 12 held up for nine years, until eclipsed earlier this year. Adam was a part of two MAAFL Championship teams, helping capture the inaugural flag in 2000 and then repeating the feat in 2002.

Adam has served the Kangaroos in multiple administrative capacities, from football manager, to board member, to Festival Committee. He still attends our home games, and was even spotted helping out as a goal umpire once or twice. He is currently a sponsor of the Club and his company, AustralUS Physiotherapy is the preferred vendor for treating injured Rooboys. We know Adam is always thinking of the Kangaroos: he has the 2000 MAAFL Premiers flag hanging in his clinic for all to see. I actually get calls from time to time from people I know who have seen the banner, and ask me if I know "the tall blonde physio" with a Kangaroos banner in his clinic. "Yes," I respond, "that is Adam Carter, one of the founders of the club!"

I was privileged to play alongside Adam for three years. He taught me quite a bit about how to play the game. And he is still helping to grow the sport and the club: he recruited the 2008 Rookie of the Year, Blair Morris.

Adam has a lovely wife Kelly Noser, herself a staunch Roogirl, and a beautiful eight year old daughter, Lily, one of the first Kangaroo Joeys to be born to a Kangaroo player.

Congratulations, Adam, on your induction into the Hall of Fame.
