Close Out 2009 in Style at the Kangaroos Holiday Fiesta

December 2009. Hard to believe that the year is gone already. In fact, if you stop and think of it, the first decade of the new century is about to close. Now THAT is a sobering thought.

Luckily, we have plenty to be cheerful and thankful for as the Nashville Kangaroos put the finishing touches on our 13th year as a club. The football team had its sixth consecutive winning season. Netball has two teams and two seasons and is growing fast. From Australia Day to the Allyson Todd Memorial Golf Tournament to the Festival of the Nations to the Year End Awards Banquet; from welcoming our newest Joey Kangaroos to the family, in Nashville as well as in Australia) to enshrining two new members in the Hall of Fame.

As seems the be the case every year, this club just gets better and better as we get older and wiser. And we plan to continue that tradition, right into 2010!

Speaking of traditions, please join us this Friday, December 11th at 7:30 pm as we close out 2009 with our traditional Holiday gathering at Silver Sponsor La Hacienda Mexican Restaurant on Bell Road. Proprietor Gus Torres is looking forward to having us back, and dazzling us with his culinary delights.
