Kangaroo Fans,

The months keep rolling by so fast I can't believe I am late for this month's issue. The July Fourth Weekend has come and gone, with plenty of fireworks to mark the occasion, and it also marks the midpoint of 2009: half the year already in the books, and another half yet to unfold.

The club has just completed its sixth annual charity golf tournament, the Allyson Todd Memorial, and this year we raised over $4,000 for various local charities.

The football team has fought its way through the tough part of the season and looks to win out the remainder of the regular season and head to nationals looking for its first ever national title, possibly picking up a MAAFL title on the way.

The netball team is gearing up for a Fall season, highlighted by a trip to Los Angeles and the annual Love in LA LA Land tournament, and a possible special appearance at the Staples Center!

And the Cultural Club has several events coming up soon: Picnic at the Lake, the Mayor's First Day Festival, the Grand Final Party, the Silent Auction and Awards Banquet, and of course our Holiday Party.

So, if you feel like you just have not had enough of the Nashville Kangaroos so far this year, don't fret, we have plenty of gatherings in the coming months. See you at a Roo Event soon!

Cheers

Jeff Persson
