Kangaroos to Represent Australia and New Zealand at Festival of the Nations
The Nashville Kangaroos are proud to represent Australia and New Zealand at the inaugural FESTIVAL OF THE NATIONS taking place this coming weekend at the Tennessee State Fair.
This will be the the largest cultural and international music festival in the region! You will start your journey through a transformed raceway into a global celebration of music, food, arts & crafts from around the globe of over 50 nations.
It will feature the largest International Parade in Tennessee, Grand Stage presenting 40 international bands and cultural performances, International Street Market displaying over 100 food and ethnic vendors from Africa, Asia, Middle East, Caribbean Islands, Europe, Latin America, and North America.
The Kangaroos are hosting a booth to showcase Australia and New Zealand (to be located on the race track). We will have lots of Aussie and Kiwi paraphernalia as well as Kangaroo merchandise. And we will also be demonstrating the popular sport of NETBALL. OK, it is popular outside of the USA, but then again showcasing something like this is the whole point of this Festival!
Alan Denton, our goal attack (GA) for the netball team has been appointed Festival Coordinator and is making the arrangements for the big day. He is looking for a few volunteers to put in a three hour shift at our booth in exchange for a complimentary ticket to the State Fair. Send an email to our ANZACC email address if you are interested.
So come learn about the world's diverse cultures and enjoy the day at the State Fair. You won't be disappointed!
